On this page we track the packages we distribute.
First and foremost, the torrent. It was announced on October 22, 2009 and it's still running. See the torrent page.
Please keep in mind that the library is a moving target. In two months more than 200 new texts were added, and some nice features were added too.
For example, currently we ship the imposed version of every single text, no matter how long it is. Also, the imposed version has been improved: texts longer than 80 pages are imposed in “signatures” of variable size, to make the folding doable (there were also some other less visible improvements, I guess you could find them for yourself, if interested). This wasn't the case with our first torrent release.
So, the next one will be the latest and the greatest. Stay tuned for updates.
They are shipped on every library entry. However, you could find
some flaws, or perhaps you desire an “unbranded” one (without the
logo). The PDFs are generated by LaTeX, so, if you want to modify it,
retrieve the .tex source and edit it. LaTeX can be a pain, but if you
have some spare hours to study it, you'll find it very
useful. See the formatting page
for details.
If you can't do it by yourself, send a mail to formatting AT theanarchistlibrary.org explaining your problems and your desire. It's possible that someone will help you.
We ship the code we use to maintain the archive. It includes a perl library, a converter from the simplified HTML to XHTML and PDF. It also includes a full skeleton of the site. The documentation is included.
The archive is in an unusual format for Windows users. If you don't run GNU/Linux or BSD, don't bother to download it, because it will be pretty useless. The documentation is included and it's quite up to date.
Well, you know what to do. The tools above will help you a lot, making the extracting and the cleaning of the texts fast and safe. Please read the guidelines.
Remember to provide a valid mail. We will contact you if something is wrong with your texts.
