12 Commandments for the Modern Slave
-
Think of yourself first, always of yourself, and nothing but yourself.
-
Believe that the reality you have been forced to live is this way and cannot be changed.
-
Accept misery, injustice, and inequality as things of fate, the will of God, or nature.
-
Believe that the state, the courts of justice, parliament, political parties, and other institutions were created because people like you don’t know how or can’t govern themselves.
-
Believe that it’s natural for some to command and others to obey, that it’s natural for there to be rich and poor, and that it’s natural for the rich to command and the poor to obey.
-
Believe everything you read in the newspapers, hear on the radio, and see on television, and that they’re hiding nothing from you.
-
Believe that your company is doing you a favor by allowing you to work for it in exchange for a salary.
-
Join the union that does what the company says, and never join one that talks about rights, dignity, or pay raises.
-
Believe that the police look out for you, that the military protects you (and the country as well), and that the Church watches over the poor.
-
Believe that you only have the right to have what you can buy, even if you need it to live, like food and medicine.
-
Accept without question that others think for you, what is best for you.
-
You have to adapt; only those who adapt survive.
